House Made Hoisin Sauce – 2 Quarts
Ingredients
- 3 cup sugar, brown
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup sorghum syrup
- 1 1/2 cup black bean & garlic paste
- 1 1/2 cup Stout,
- 1/2 cup malt vinegar
- 1/2 cup miso, barley
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds, white
- 4 teaspoon Chinese 5 Spice powder, house made
- 2 teaspoon Sriracha Hot Sauce,
- 16 clove Black Garlic,

Instructions
- Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, sorghum, black bean & garlic paste, stout, malt vinegar, barley miso, sesame seeds, five-spice powder and Sriracha in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, lower heat, and simmer until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Place into the blender and puree until smooth. Transfer to a Cambro, label, date and allow to cool to room temperature, then seal and refrigerate.
