Irish Beer Cuisine
This recipe page is dedicated to Irish Beer Cuisine. Being a quarter Irish, I grew up eating many different recipes originating from Ireland, as my grandmother was 100% Irish. I took some of my family recipes | Pub classics | Irish comfort food and overlaid my Cooking with Beer knowledge, to share these Irish recipes and menu’s with you. As the month of March hosts St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to highlight and share these Irish Menu Ideas, plus showcase the lovely use of ingredients, techniques, and history of Ireland. These recipes are my take on the food traditions of Ireland, which can be cooked and consume year-round, yet are especially delicious during the cold winter, early spring months.
From savory dishes like Stout Cured Corned Beef and Cabbage, Colcannon, Chicken and Leek Stew, Beer Boxty Bread, Fisherman’s Pie Infused with Irish Red Ale, Irish-Style Pot Roast, Irish Stout Stew, Lamb Shepherd’s Pie with Ale, Cottage Pie with Ale, or a Smoked Fish Pot Pie, all these recipes are full of nostalgia, embrace the comfort of pub food and traditions that go with hours at a local watering hole.
On the sweet side, recipes use Irish ingredients and culinary traditions to make delicious treats and cocktails: Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur, Irish Car Bomb Pie, Butter “Scotch” Sauce, Chocolate Irish Stout Cake used to make an Irish Layered Cake or an Irish Trifle infused with an Irish Cream Pastry Cream and Irish Whiskey Smoked Salted Caramel Sauce.
