Comfort Food
Depending on where in the world you live, your ethnicity, what your family cooked, what was served on those certain days, those family gatherings, all factor in to what your version of Comfort Food is. To some it’s fried chicken, others spaghetti and meatballs, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, matzo ball soup, chicken noodle soup, or a bowl of chili… Again, Comfort Food can be so many different recipes and is personal to each person. Yet, I feel that what makes a good Comfort Food, is a recipe that is homemade, not only satisfies you as the eater, but gives you comfort, a sense of safety, nourishment and nostalgia with each bite. Sometimes the right comfort food can bring you to a moment in time, sitting at your grandmothers table, or teleport you to a location filled with great memories.
Here is my list of recipes, that all have that vibe of good, hearty, delicious and nostalgic wrapped into each bite.
